Will I start to see results immediately, after my first session?

That is ultimately the goal! However, psychiatric treatment and effectiveness can vary among each patient because of possible sensitivities to psychotropic medications, a person's genetic makeup, and the interaction of the body and the drug being used. I will make my best effort to develop a robust treatment plan that best fits your mental health needs, and most closely aligns with your psychiatric diagnoses.

 

What happens if I have failed numerous medication trials in the past with different psychiatric providers? Would you still be able to help me?

Yes! Sunshine Mental Wellness Associates is pleased to be partnered with Genomind to provide a pharmacogenetic testing option for individuals who have failed multiple, or numerous medications in the past. For most commercially insured clients, the approximate cost of the test is $399.
